葡萄糖胺（Glucosamine）是人體內氨基酸和醣合成的有機物質，通常人體內儲量豐富，葡萄糖胺是軟骨中結構性蛋白的最主要成份。葡萄糖胺是構成股關節間粘液的主要成分，老人或是運動量較多的人，由于骨關節的摩擦次數較多，造成骨關節的磨損，引起發炎、疼痛及關節變形，葡萄糖胺促使液體流向軟骨組織，帶給軟骨組織重要的營養素。
